First a note about Open Source Software:
Open source software such as Open Office.org, Linux, Apache, PostSQL, and several others are
freely owned and supported by Global Grassroots communities of programmers rather than by a single company. Open
source means freedom to run the program for anything, inspect, modify and adapt the souce code: but even more for
most of us the freedom to use and redistribute it without license fee's or restrictions. Put these on as many machines
as you want, give them away, whatever. These aren't leased, they are yours.

But many are huge files requiring hours or even days of downloading time
